Today we explored the possibilities of limits! Teams had one hour, one sheet of brown paper, a specified length of masking tape and one City Paper to fashion one wearable piece (or multiple). We talked about how limits or parameters can help to push us towards thinking in new ways about materials, including breaking through our own preconceived ideas about how materials should and can be used. We also talked about the power of play and experimentation in order to find inspiration, as well as working from an initial idea. Groups shared reflections about the challenges and benefits of working collaboratively, and strategies for working as a team. We are off and running!
